A Word About the Store

After making exodus from New York, Death to the World has made home in Lompoc (/ˈlɒmpoʊk/, LOM-poke), CA with Fr John Valadez serving as the priest for the parish of St Timothy. Before leaving for New York, we left merchandise to be shipped by a team in Los Alamitos, CA. We are currently in the process of consolidating all merchandise in Lompoc where we will operate home base.

Bad news first. We will be restocking the store site and adding some new gear, but all items being restocked will not be shipped until mid-September due to the logistics of moving. Also, in this process we had to take a good look at our pricing, which we haven’t done in years. Most of us still have the mentality of the late 90’s when we bought shirts at punk shows for 10 bucks tops. Twenty years later, shirts are more expensive, shipping is more expensive, and packing is more expensive. So, we had to calculate accordingly to keep DTTW alive, breathing, and have room to operate. We still are keeping prices as low as possible, lower than most garment printing companies out there. But, hey, its only a few bucks tacked on for a good cause.

Good news. Everything ordered under “Pre-Order” (that is, if “Pre-Order is labeled on the product), will be shipped with a free printed copy of Issue #1, an item we haven’t had in years. Which brings us to our next good news: printed ‘zines will be back! This move frees us up to bring back single printed issues of the old stuff–the classics. You’ll also be seeing some books pop up on the site… and especially be on the edge of your seat as Youth of the Apocalypse and others are in the works, alongside a new issue. More good news is that we will be physically working with our merch again and this will make us more aware of our stock, our quality, and give us more opportunity to answer your questions and respond to feedback.

We are pumped to watch DTTW flourish in Lompoc. Come on over to our little coastal town surrounded by farmland, breathe in fresh air, and never get stuck in traffic. More importantly, there’s services everyday and great potential. Keep on keeping an eye out and seeing what we’re up to as we are looking into potential brick and mortar for a coffee shop–something we’re trying to daydream into reality. In God’s time!

Keep the struggle!
